Kunigal ಕುಣಿಗಲ್
Kunigal is famous for the historic Kunigal Stud Farm, established by the Mysore Wodeyars and one of the oldest horse-breeding farms in India. It is also celebrated in folklore for the massive Kunigal Lake ('Kunigal Kere'). Kunigal boasts several heritage sites including the Hutridurga trekking trail and the ancient Someshwara Temple.
